Jiangxi Provincial Museum was officially opened in 1961. Efforts taken in the past more than 50 years has made Jaingxi Provincial Museum become a large comprehensive museum in China. In 1999, the construction of new hall of museum was finished. The new hall is located in Xinzhou surrounded by Ganjiang River and Wuhe River in Nanchang. It covers more than 60 mu. Jiangxi Provincial Museum has three themed halls: Historical Hall, Natural Hall and Revolutionary Hall. The main building of the museum is built in the style of the unique ceramic wares created in Jingdezheng. The hall is strongly featured by the ancient porcelain art and modern architectural style.
